Fairy Cove is set into the quietest corner of the site — the one guests book when the whole point of the trip is to disappear for a night or two.

All you need to bring is yourself, your food and your drink.
- Bed & bedding
- A very comfortable made-up double bed with soft lighting. Bedsheets and towels are supplied. A single bed can be provided at an additional cost — price on enquiry.
- Heating & electricity
- Its own wood pellet stove inside the tent for colder nights and months, and electricity in the tent.
- Kitchen & cooking
- A fully stocked kitchen with a fridge, gas ring, gas BBQ and charcoal BBQ, with a covered space for cooking and eating outside.
- Your own private area
- Its own sheltered private outdoor area, tucked away from the other stays.
- Hot outdoor shower
- A hot outdoor shower under the trees — one of the things guests remember most.
- Who can stay
- Adults-focused glamping. Children aged 12 years and over are welcome. Please confirm the child's age when booking. Dog-friendly stays are available for an additional charge — price on enquiry.

- Free parking on site beside the stays. Directions, arrival details and check-in times are confirmed with your booking.
- Nearby
- Carlingford village, the deserted village a short stroll away and walking trails on the doorstep. The ferry crossing is about 5 minutes by car, though the service is not running at present.
Your own lawn
A corner of the hillside that is yours for the stay
Fairy Cove sits on its own stretch of lawn, held in by dry stone walls that Oisín built by hand. There is a table and chairs out on the grass, a whiskey-barrel table on the terrace, and nothing between you and the fields falling away below.
Nothing here is shared. The lawn, the terraces, the cooking shelter and the seating are all part of your stay.
Cooking outside
Dinner tastes different out here
The cooking shelter has a timber roof, a brick counter, a sink and both the gas and charcoal barbecues, so you can cook and eat outside whatever the weather is doing.
The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a fridge, so all you carry up the hill is your food and something to drink.
Inside
Canvas walls, a proper bed, soft light
Open the doors and the lawn becomes part of the room. Inside there is a very comfortable made-up double bed, bedsheets and towels, soft lighting, electricity and your own wood pellet stove for colder nights.
There is a wash area beside the tent, and the hot outdoor shower under the trees is the thing most guests end up talking about.
The evening
The evening becomes the plan
The light goes pink over the sea, the fairy lights come on in the trees, and the shelter glows. Most guests mean to head out and never quite do.
When it goes properly dark there is little to no light pollution here, so you look up for longer than you meant to.
